You will be part of the team securing a third of funding for our life-saving research. To do this you will be supporting people to build a legacy that will beat cancer for future generations. You will be building, maintaining, and growing relationships with a wide range of CRUK supporters within your community, providing tailored information about leaving a gift in their will.
This is an opportunity to have a job which you can make your own. No two days will be the same - whether its visiting CRUK shops to chat to customers, setting up stalls at Race for Life events, delivering a speech via Zoom to community groups or giving advice to supporters on the phone. This is a flexible role, and you are in control of your own schedule. On average our Relationship Managers spend 70% of their time working from home and 30% of their time working in the field.

Cancer Research UK is the world’s largest independent cancer research charity; they are looking for Relationship Managers to inspire and engage with communities to enable them to raise the funds needed to continue this life saving research.
What will I be doing?
As Relationship Manager, you will work within the community to provide individuals, groups, and corporate supporters an exceptional level of service across the charity’s UK portfolio. You will inspire and motivate supporters to develop long-term relationships and maximising fundraising opportunities. There is also a strong focus on acquisition in and around Edinburgh so we are looking for someone to bring in new fundraising opportunities.

They will also provide the secretariat to the Scottish Cancer Coalition, and support the running of the Scottish Parliament Cross Party Group on Cancer and the delivery of its Scottish Cancer Conference

In this role, you will be focused on converting an increased number of leads into committed supporters across CRUK’s product portfolio - so we are looking for someone who is strong in acquisitions, good at identifying, winning, and developing new business, as well as managing existing relationships too. You will be well-connected, a natural networker and driven by our cause to maximise our fundraising!

The role
Cancer Research UK has set out an ambitious goal that three in four people diagnosed with cancer should survive that diagnosis by 2034. In order to achieve this ambition, our focus is on the early diagnosis of cancer because of the great potential for improvement in outcomes through diagnosing cancer earlier.
To help support our ambition our Health Professional Facilitators are the visible face of our work with the NHS. Our Facilitators work closely with Primary Care Teams, clusters, public health and other stakeholders working in cancer care. They provide valuable practical support for quality improvement and lead educational sessions supporting cancer prevention, screening, recognition and referral. Our team is built of engaging, committed people who love building relationships and working with a wide range of healthcare professionals and their teams to drive improvements in cancer outcomes.

We have a great opportunity for someone to join us a Public Affairs Manager responsible for driving Cancer Research UK’s public affairs work in Scotland, leading our work with the Scottish Government, Scottish Parliament, and key NHS bodies to influence along our policy priority areas. Managing one officer and one assistant, the role will be an important member of the Devolved Nations Public Affairs team and the wider Policy Department, ensuring opportunities to influence are taken up to have impact for people affected by cancer in Scotland.
