If you have previous experience of providing administrative support to senior managers, we want to hear from you. You should have:
- a flexible and positive approach to work
- be experienced in taking minutes & organising meetings.
- the ability to work with materials of a confidential and sensitive nature
- strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines are also fundamental to this post.
The NSPCC Evidence Team generate and champion high quality evidence that informs policy and practice inside and beyond NSPCC. We champion evidence-based practice by supporting the evaluation of NSPCC services for children and families, supporting the scale up of successful activities, and by leveraging research funding resulting in world class research into what helps keep children safe and helps them get back on track after abuse.
We are seeking an Evaluation Officer to support the development and implementation of the evaluation of Together for Childhood, a place-based initiative which aims to radically improve the way we tackle child abuse and neglect, with a focus on prevention across local systems, engaging communities, families, professionals and services.
You will be educated to a higher degree level in a relevant subject area and have experience of undertaking service evaluation or social research. Experience of undertaking evaluation or research with children and young people will be an advantage.
Please note the successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check prior to starting employment.

We have a unique opportunity for an exceptional senior children’s services manager to be at the forefront of the development and delivery of Together for Childhood and make a real impact in working for the NSPCC in Glasgow.
Together for Childhood is a place-based, long-term project to prevent child abuse and neglect. It aims to transform how the community of Govan in Glasgow raises its children by creating a powerful partnership with local people and agencies.
The Strategic Service Manager will lead the NSPCC Govan service centre and fulfil a key role in the partnership.You will be an experienced children's services professional committed to improving the lives of children, with the ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team and to work collaboratively across agency boundaries. Strategic leadership and highly developed communication skills are a must as you will seek to work with partners at a senior level as well as engage with children, families and professionals across the community.
You will lead the NSPCC’s direct work in the Glasgow Service Centre, providing line management for a group of Team Managers and a Development Manager, who manage a well-established and experienced multi- disciplinary team including mental health professionals, social workers and community development staff. We provide services to children and families focusing on early child development and the prevention of abuse and neglect in families with young children.
You will use your substantial experience of managing child protection work to ensure high standards of practice are maintained in all aspects of service delivery.
