Youth Project Manager

Girvan Youth Trust is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager with a keen interest in youth empowerment and development.

An understanding of our long term vision and rural location is essential to carry out our youth engagement and support work in a sensitive and engaging manner. Commitment towards creating an impact and legacy in our community is also a requirement.

The post is funded until 31st March 2021, the longer term retention of this post is considered crucial to Girvan Youth Trust.

Youth Work – Z1 Project Co-ordinator

This is an opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and self- motivated youth worker to help our established voluntary youth group into its next stage of youth engagement and development.

The post holder will be responsible for the full time operation and ongoing maintenance of the Z1 Youth Bar, a 21st century dedicated youth centre, which currently supports in excess of 300 young people aged 12-18. The role will include developing, co-ordinating and delivering both, current and future centre based diversionary activities and opportunities and partnership networking.

You should have proven youth engagement / excellent communication skills and the ability to empathise with young people.

Ideally you should hold, or be in the final stages of obtaining, a national qualification in youth work and have previous experience at working at an appropriate senior youth work level.

This post is considered a major role within Girvan Youth Trust development and as such the Trust will be seeking funding to retain this key position beyond the offered 3-year tenure.
