Learning and Development Coordinator

We are looking to expand our team and want to attract inspirational and committed people to complement our existing team.

You will work with the National Involvement Lead and other Coordinators to accelerate the development of an inspiring Carer Development Programme based on the identified needs of tide’s carer members. Along with the Carer Involvement Leads, you will deliver the Carer Development Programme in Scotland and will work with the wider Learning and Development team to support the delivery of the programme across the UK. You will be responsible for capturing evidence of impact from those same groups of people.

We are looking to expand our team and want to attract inspirational and committed people to complement our existing team.

Created by carers for carers, tide – together in dementia every day is a national involvement network for carers and former carers of people with dementia hosted by Life Story Network CIC. Using lived experience, tide enables a diverse range of carers to have a powerful collective voice, which raises awareness of their unique needs and rights, ensuring that these influence practice, policy and research at all levels.

This post will cover Edinburgh, the Lothians, Dumfries and Galloway and the Borders and is funded by the Life Changes Trust.

As Regional Carer Involvement Lead for the North of Scotland, you will be working closely with our Head of tide Development and National Lead for Scotland and Northern Ireland as well as our other Regional Carer Involvement Leads and our Learning and Development Team to strengthen and increase the establishment of the tide network in Scotland.

You will have responsibility for the designated geographical regions as well as a thematic lead, which may include one of the following: carers of people living with dementia from Black and Minority Ethnic Communities, young carers caring for family members with dementia or carers from the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community.
