Youth Development Coordinator (3 days per week)

ROLE PURPOSE:

We are at a growth point in our development where we are working with more young people. Therefor we require a youth development coordinator passionate about supporting and inspiring young people.

This role is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape how we work with and support our most critical stakeholders, young people. The core remit of this role is to oversea the support and participation of young people, our youth sessions and be the main link person to our schools. If this sounds like you then we want to hear from you!

You will be joining a small, inspiring and flexible team based in North Edinburgh. This role suits someone who enjoys a flexible work life and truly wants to see young people succeed.

HOURS & BENEFITS:

The position is 21 hours per week, salary £20,000 pro rata (from 37.5 hours). Post is initially for up to one year. Scran Academy operates Thursdays and Fridays at present, although this may change going forward. The remaining hours will be determined as mutually agreed and required. This (surprise surprise in the youth sector) will involve occasional evening and weekend work.

This post attracts a +3% employers pension contribution and (pro rata) 33 days annual leave, inclusive of a public holiday allowance. You will benefit from an inspiring and ever-changing workplace. As a new member of our small team, you will also enjoy a high level of creative control to advise and support our development. Additional training on youth work, employability and community development as well as leadership opportunities will be offered.

Catering Manager

ROLE PURPOSE:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape Scran Academy’s food and catering services on a day-to-day basis. We are looking for a dynamic self-starter who knows and loves the food and service world. The purpose is to be responsible for the catering operations of Scran, largely by helping introduce our new food gift menu, manage our pop-up meal nights and ultimately help secure a sustainable catering income. An eye for growing a business and inspiring young people are huge bonuses! The main focus is a vibrant, positive person who can manage our food and be a great point of contact with clients.

You will be joining a small, inspiring and flexible team based in North Edinburgh. This role suits someone who enjoys a flexible work life and spends time not just making food, but making a difference. Managed by our founder, and working alongside our Youth Development Coordinator and regular volunteers.
