Team Leader

We are currently looking to recruit two Team Leaders to support the Service Manager in the operation of our Dundee Service. Our service in Dundee supports individuals to access a range of meaningful activities.

It is an exciting time for us as we explore ways to develop our relationships with our people and we are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Team Leader to join us.

This may mean flexibility in terms of location, shift pattern, focus, and deployment, which may include evenings or weekends.

You will be required to co-ordinate and supervise a team of support staff in delivering a high standard of social care practice using a person-centred approach that reflects individual customer's needs, wants, and aspirations.

A key part of this role is to coach, monitor, mentor and develop the skill base within the staff team, you will do this by displaying leadership skills such as role modelling, decision making, being an effective communicator, having a positive attitude, commitment and confidence in the role.

You may also be required from time to time to deliver direct support to our customers.

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in a supervisory/management role is desirable
  • Care related SVQ Level 4 or equivalent or have the ability and willingness to achieve this qualification
  • The ability to plan for customers, for your staff, and for your service is critical.
  • A desire for self-improvement and willing to develop your skills with our help
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.

Relief Support Worker - Activities 4 All

We are looking for Relief Support Workers within our Children's Services

Activities4All supports mainstream holiday clubs/camps to develop their capacity to include children with additional support needs within their services. We can support:

  • Mainstream holiday and leisure clubs to include children with activities including sports, dance, arts or drama groups along with general activity camps.
  • Children with additional support needs who would like to access mainstream clubs/camps that they choose.

We are currently looking to recruit a number of Support Workers on a Relief basis (various hours offered) to work as part of our team to include children with additional support needs in mainstream Holiday and Activity clubs/camps.

The role involves supporting children with additional support needs to promote their inclusion in a mainstream environment. You will work alongside mainstream staff to build their confidence and knowledge to support and include children with disabilities in the setting.

You should be able and willing to work during the day throughout the School Holidays in Edinburgh.

About the role

We are looking to recruit a Link Practitioner to join our Self-Directed Support Brokerage Service. You will provide support to individuals who are in receipt of a Direct Payment award to implement their agreed Self Directed Support Plan, this will include assistance with recruitment and managing their relationship with their Personal Assistants and ongoing support to individuals to review their plan and make changes where necessary. You will be an advocate of Self-Directed Support and will raise awareness of Self-Directed Support and of the Brokerage amongst potential recipients, other professionals and the general public. The role will require you to nurture the service to allow for ongoing growth.

We are looking for someone who is keen to implement national policy into practice at a local level, keen to implement innovation while maintaining a positive environment and high quality service.
