Erskine is a high impact social care organisation which is seeking suitable applicants for the post of Financial Planning and Analysis Manager (FPA Manager).
As Erskine begins evolves in response to the unmet needs of Veterans in Scotland, the organisation is expanding its finance function, with a FPA Manager to lead financial planning and analysis activities across all of our operations. You will be a key member of the Senior Management Team based in our Bishopton Head office (and optionally, from home on a hybrid basis) supporting Management to make key decisions which are facing the organisation.
Your new role

The Financial Accountant is primarily responsible for the accurate and timely production of the monthly management accounts, management of the sales and payments processes, as well as managing the day-to-day activities of the finance team.

Essential skills & experience required
·Hold or working towards a professional accountancy qualification – CA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA
·Excellent knowledge of Microsoft suite of products, especially Excel.
It would be desirable, but not essential, that candidates have a proven track record of preparing Management accounts and annual financial statements, together with line management experience.

The Role:
To provide Mental Health and addiction support, welfare advice and guidance to all tenants in the Non-Care accommodation including the development of individual support packages for the Transitional Supported Accommodation tenants. To support tenants to apply for housing benefit, council tax benefit and universal credit. Provide housing and employability advice and support the Transitional Supported Accommodation tenants to register with local GP, Dentist and counselling services.
Encourage and support tenants to live independently and promote good community spirit and tenant involvement within the Non-Care Veteran community.
The Post Holder needs to remain calm and approachable when dealing with tenants who may have complex emotional needs. They will be required to adopt an empathetic approach to all issues.
The post holder should be familiar with the Services, ideally with an Armed Forces background, and have a genuine desire to work with and assist service leavers transitioning from the armed forces and ex- Service personnel with complex mental health and addiction issues.
Essential
• Educated to HND level or equivalent
• Recognised Mental Health qualification e.g. Mental Health First Aid
• Adult support & protection training
• Good understanding of mental health issues affecting the veteran community
• Experience of working effectively as part of a team, the ability to provide support and encouragement to tenants and establish good professional relationships with colleagues
• Proven resilience in a demanding job role

The Role:
To implement a Wellbeing Support Hub within the Erskine Reid Macewen Activity Centre with support from Centre Manager. A two-year post, this role requires the Project Coordinator to establish a new project that supports the mental health and wellbeing of our members. It is intended that in year three the hub will become member – led.
The successful candidate will coordinate and support delivery of a programme of wellbeing activities based on identified needs within the veteran community. Service delivery will be shaped and led by member input and feedback. The post holder will be responsible for coordinating quarterly open events which will bring together partner organisations and veterans opening up pathways to relevant support and opportunities.
