Wellbeing Scotland are recruiting exciting new roles to support young people in a school environment. We have either four 30 hour posts or eight half time posts for qualified counsellors. The posts will be in Clackmannanshire schools. We are also appointing qualified counsellors to work in primary schools in West Lothian.
Job Purpose: To develop and deliver counselling services to children and young people in schools
We have a maternity cover post in our Wellbeing Worker service and new Wellbeing Worker roles for additional schools in Clackmannanshire.
The role will be to build children and young people’s resilience through talking, listening and creative work, helping them to cope with wide-ranging and often complex social issues including their own anxiety, distress and issues relating to parental substance misuse, bullying, bereavement, domestic violence, family breakdown, neglect and trauma. The role will involve collaboration and signposting to existing services across Clackmannanshire, providing advocacy and support to engage in programmes and approaches out with schools to promote wellbeing and thus address identified issues.
This exciting new role has been developed to take Wellbeing Scotland to the next level of growth. You will be skilled and experienced in development while having a good oversight of the corporate function of an organisation. Wellbeing Scotland are one of the leading organisations in Scotland working with adverse life circumstances and the impact on wellbeing. This role will enable you to be part of its next level of growth.
Wellbeing Scotland have developed an exciting new post which will be an essential part of our ongoing growth. The post-holder will:
• Have responsibility for providing 1:1 clinical supervision to counselling staff, volunteers and trainees in line with Wellbeing Scotland supervision policy
• Supporting Wellbeing Scotland counsellors to provide safe and effective clinical services
• Contribute to service development and continuous quality improvement within the organisation
• Developing training internally and externally for the organisation
