Are you interested in joining a dynamic and vibrant team who play a vital role in supporting individuals and communities to become more connected and resilient? The Dial-OP & GO team provides people who are isolated and/or vulnerable with the information, guidance and support they need through multi-layered and diverse levels of support. With funding from Big Lottery Improving Lives and Integrated Care Fund, we are currently recruiting for a Project Worker to join the team for one year.
We are looking for a team player with great communication skills and with experience of working with people from diverse backgrounds. You will have a good knowledge of volunteering and of health and wellbeing, in particular loneliness and social isolation.
Are you interested in working with, and supporting, local communities in Dundee to enable change and create new opportunities to promote and encourage improved health and well-being? Do you have the skills and experience to engage with local people, in local communities to identify needs, gaps in provision of facilities/services, and assist in the development of sustainable initiatives, together with local partners? We aim to improve the health and well-being of local people in Dundee, of all ages and backgrounds, by building their capacity to effect positive change in themselves and their local communities.
We are looking for a Development Officer to join our Community Engagement Team to deliver tangible results creating stronger, more cohesive communities. The successful applicant will be outgoing with a positive outlook and have a good understanding of co-production and using an asset based approach. They will understand community development and have relevant experience of supporting individuals and communities to develop local solutions that respond to local need, whilst addressing the wider programme outcomes.
