The post is based at the Crosshill Business Centre. The Finance Manager is responsible for the financial management of BRAG Enterprises Ltd, a company limited by guarantee and registered charitable trust. BRAG’s current activities include the provision of affordable business space, support and training for Entrepreneurs and Social Enterprises, training and education schemes, employability and volunteering opportunities. BRAG delivers innovative and effective projects and now operates over multiple sites acting as the lead partner in the Fife Employment and Training Consortium (Fife ETC)
You will have a qualification in a relevant discipline such as Accountancy, Finance or Business Management or demonstrable experience equivalent along with a relevant qualification in bookkeeping/accounting. You will also have proven experience of working within a finance role at a similar level. You will be comfortable in your use of spreadsheets or databases to track and report on complex numerical data. As well as knowledge of VAT process you will have a working understanding of xero.

At this time, we are seeking individuals who have held, senior roles in your sector, preferably with experience of setting strategy and managing senior teams however this is not essential.
The post based at Levenmouth Community Enterprise Centre, is responsible for the delivery of activities related to the operation Brag’s delivery on behalf of the Fife Employability and Training Consortium.
The company specialises in the delivery of learning activities to a group of clients, usually not exceeding twenty in number to a group of individuals who are long term unemployed and/or have multiple barriers to moving into work.
This post will be based in the Brag Enterprises Community Enterprise Centre, Methil, Fife with travel across Fife where required.
The New Enterprise Allowance (NEA) is aimed at supporting DWP claimants to start their own business. The scheme provides mentoring support and financial assistance in the form of a weekly allowance. This post is intended to provide the mentoring role required for the programme.
This post will be based in Fife.
To provide mentoring support and guidance to all participants on the programme in order for them to increase their confidence, skills and experience and to attain and sustain self- employment. All such training services will be implemented to Quality Standards, with fair and equal opportunity for all concerned and will be carried out in a healthy and safe environment and in a positive manner suitable to all learners needs.
The main tasks and responsibilities are:
Have an initial meeting with clients, discuss their business idea and formulate its likely success then assist the client in the production of a business plan to a pre-agreed standard. Support the client through the NEA process providing advice and coaching where required. Collate performance information both on a weekly and monthly basis and provide related information to the Line Manager. Carry out the duties and responsibilities within the scope defined by the Company's Health and Safety Policy and Lone Working policy. To undertake any other duties appropriate to the post and the needs of the organisation or as directed by management. These will be agreed with the post holder and will normally be within the scope of their qualifications and/or experience.
