Changeworks are looking to recruit a part-time Finance Assistant to join our busy Central Services Team.

The successful candidate should be numerate and able to work with a high level of accuracy and have excellent communication and organisational skills. You should have previous experience of working to deadlines. This is a role for a team player with the ability to use their own initiative. Previous experience of working in a finance team is desirable

Responsibilities:

· Ensure the strong governance of the organisation

· Maintain clear strategic direction

· Keep oversight of the financial performance of the organisation

· Attend and contribute to quarterly Board meetings

· Engage with stakeholders and represent Changeworks

· Perform to the highest personal standards in line with the Board’s expectations and acting in the interests of Changeworks.

Project Officer – Community Engagement

Changeworks have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven Project Officer to lead the delivery of an area based energy efficiency project in Edinburgh Old Town. You will be working with partners and stakeholders to encourage householders and businesses to install energy efficient measures and adopt low carbon behaviours. The project will have a focus on historic buildings, engaging with private sector landlords and businesses.

You’ll be a confident self-starter who has experience of working with a variety of partners. Being a confident communicator who can proactively adapt your approach to the audience is a must. You will have an excellent understanding of the importance of high quality customer service and be motivated to convert interest into action.

Project Administrator

You will be a highly organised and responsible individual, who enjoys working in a varied and flexible role and as part of a team, supporting a busy department. Home Energy Scotland is the free, impartial advice service funded by the Scottish Government and managed by the Energy Saving Trust. Changeworks delivers the service in South East Scotland and the Highlands and Islands.

As an Energy Events Advisor at Changeworks you will have the opportunity to help households across the South East of Scotland to lower their energy bills and reduce their impact on the environment by providing high quality tailored and impartial advice and information about energy efficiency.

Our induction programme is an SQA accredited qualification, and successful candidates will also complete a City and Guilds qualification on Energy Awareness in the home as well as behaviour change training.

The ideal candidate

To be successful in this role you should have a passion for customer service and be a confident communicator.

Our advisors speak to a wide range of customers with varied enquiries on a daily basis, providing them with high quality advice tailored to their circumstances and persuading them to take action and change their behaviours.

As the Events Advisor, you will provide the advice and information to customers in a variety of face to face settings.

It is expected that this role will see the Events Advisor(s) providing follow-up support to their customers through outbound and some inbound phone activity following an event.

An interest in the environment and sustainability would be an advantage for this role but is not essential as full training will be given.

In-home Specialist Energy Advisor

The Partnership Team works with a range of organisations to ensure that people at risk of fuel poverty can access Home Energy Scotland’s support. We have an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent customer service and engagement skills to join our team to support the delivery of in-home visits to householders.

The primary purpose of this role is to represent and promote the Home Energy Scotland (HES) Energycarer service which is designed to help those struggling to heat their homes to access appropriate support to achieve a level of affordable warmth. You will do this primarily through the delivery of in-home visits and by providing follow-up support to vulnerable householders.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the Advice Centre’s programme of outreach events with partners, such as workshops and advice surgeries as well as training events for existing and new partners. The role will be rewarding and varied - you could spend the morning delivering home visits and the afternoon briefing a partner organisation on Home Energy Scotland’s services – no two days are ever the same!

Senior Project Officer
