ASC provides a range of recovery focused services for people affected by substance misuse and we are also champions of developing local recovery communities. Thanks to the support of the North Lanarkshire Alcohol & Drug Partnership, we plan to create a North Lanarkshire Recovery Community. To help us achieve that we are looking for people to assist us with that task.

You will be passionate and enthusiastic about recovery. If you are in recovery we are looking for you to have had a minimum of one year’s stability from substance misuse or addictive behaviours. You will have a good understanding of the impact that substance misuse can have on individuals, families and communities and you will be familiar with what works to promote and sustain recovery from substance misuse. An ability to work flexibly and creatively in motivating, supporting and encouraging people in recovery is required.

A recognised professional qualification in social care or health care or community work or counselling or addictions is desirable, but not essential. If you do not have any such qualifications we would require you to achieve an SVQ Level 3 Social Services an Health Qualification during your employment with us.

This post requires an enhanced disclosure and if you are a successful candidate you must undertake a satisfactory Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Record for Restricted Work with Protected Adults.

ASC is a charity dedicated to providing a range of recovery focussed services for people affected by addictions. We provide opportunities to help people change their addictive behaviours, engage with recovery communities and fulfil their aspirations.

We are starting a new chapter in our organisation’s journey and are looking to appoint a Fundraising Officer.

You will

  • Have a recognised professional qualification at a minimum of SVQ level 4 or equivalent
  • Have a minimum three years of demonstrable experience in fundraising
  • Have the ability to work at strategic planning and implementation levels in order to achieve desired outcomes
  • Have an ability to work flexibly and creatively in motivating and supporting volunteers for fundraising activities
  • Have a dynamic personality with the high level of professionalism and excellent persuasion and influencing skills
