Engender, Scotland’s feminist policy and advocacy organisation is seeking a Communications and Engagement Assistant to join our team for one year to support our work for a gender-equal Scotland. They will work with colleagues to develop systems and strategies around member engagement, digital communications, and press work.
To contribute to the work of Engender by assisting with member engagement, communications systems, and press work. This is a one-year post, which we do not envisage being extended. The focus of this role, therefore is on developing strong sustainable systems.
Engender, Scotland’s feminist policy and advocacy organisation is seeking a Policy Officer to join our busy team working for a gender-equal Scotland. They will be experienced in producing analysis and policy briefings, and committed to feminist principles.
To work within a team advocating for policymaking that advances women’s equality by researching and writing briefings and consultation responses. To engage with MSPs, staff, and committees to make sure that gender matters in the Scottish Parliament.
To work with communications and engagement colleagues to make sure our members and stakeholders are up to speed with the critical issues around women’s equality, and that women’s voices are heard wherever policy is made.
Gender Equal Media Scotland is hiring a Development Officer, hosted within Engender, for a one year post. The successful candidate will work to bring together academics, journalists, and campaigners to analyse existing work for gender-equal media, and develop a long-term vision for a Women in Media Body for Scotland.
To work with partners from Gender Equal Media Scotland (GEMS) which brings together academics, journalists, campaign groups and organisations working for women’s equality in Scottish media.
GEMS aims to create a Scottish media which treats women equally – as employees, as contributors and as subjects of media attention.
Current partners include; Strathclyde University, Engender, Zero Tolerance, The National Union of Journalists, Scottish Women’s Aid, Rape Crisis Scotland, Scottish Women in Sport, The Women 5050 campaign, Women in Journalism Scotland
