We are a social enterprise company providing assistance and support for people with learning disabilities, older people and young people. Based in Castlemilk in Glasgow, we work alongside people who use our support, to help them have the kind of life they want. For our ground breaking work in valuing people with learning disabilities as active citizens, we were proud winners of the Social Enterprise of the Year Award for 2013.

We offer a range of activities and support options for people who may wish to use their individual budget to buy what they need from Fair Deal. At Fair Deal we are committed to personalised and individual support arrangements that create opportunities for people to build friendships and relationships where they want to.

The current post holder will retire in September and so we are looking for an innovative, effective and practical new CEO to lead us strategically and operationally in accordance with our values and policies to secure the continued long-term sustainability of the organisation.

The successful candidate will possess substantial managerial experience with significant staff responsibilities and a proven track record of leading and implementing large organisational change successfully. You will possess proven strategic leadership skills, ability to create, communicate and deliver a clear vision, organisational culture and develop new business opportunities. Together with:

Ability to engage at all levels in the organisation, inspiring high levels of motivation, performance and commitment.

A clear, confident decision maker, creative and innovative in tackling challenges, appraising performance and finding solutions

.Excellent knowledge of relevant issues, policy, statutory and regulatory frameworks and wider thinking on social policy

.Outstanding negotiating, influencing and persuading powers and ability to work effectively in partnership with external bodies to achieve corporate aims
