Visualise Scotland is looking for expressions of interest from people who have a passion for making a difference in people’s lives through the role of Chair of Trustees or as a Trustee with our voluntary Board.
Visualise Scotland is a charity which provides support to adults with multiple disabilities in Edinburgh and the Lothians. Starting as an action group in 1987, the original aim of organisation was to provide appropriate support for young adults after they left the Royal Blind School.
In the intervening years, we have expanded our services to adults with visual impairment and other disabilities. We offer residential services across Edinburgh, and from our hub in Musselburgh we offer opportunities for people to access community events. We are a relatively small organisation with a team of about 75 people. Our services are funded almost exclusively by local government.
