Zero Tolerance is a Scottish charity working to end men’s violence against women by promoting gender equality and by challenging attitudes which normalise violence and abuse.
Zero Tolerance is seeking to recruit enthusiastic, committed and skilled trustees to our board. We are looking for people with a range of experiences and expertise to join the board, including someone with the skills and interest in becoming our Treasurer.
Zero Tolerance’s vision is of a world without men’s violence against women, in which women enjoy full gender equality and all human rights are upheld. We work to tackle the root cause of male violence against women - women’s inequality - and promote a primary prevention approach to challenging the attitudes, values and structures that sustain inequality and abuse.
This voluntary position is an exciting opportunity to work with an established and vibrant charity and make a real difference to our work to challenge violence against women and gender inequality.

The Zero Tolerance board meets quarterly and currently these meetings take place at our office premises in central Edinburgh.
We are open to reviewing the timing and location of meetings to encourage involvement from people who live outwith Edinburgh, and to considering other ways to increase the accessibility of board meetings.
You should be able to commit at least four hours on average per month to your work as a board member. This will include board and sub-group meetings, attending events, reading and writing papers and involvement in discussions by email and telephone.

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced leader to join our dedicated team working to challenge attitudes which enable men’s violence against women to continue.
You will have a strong interest in feminism, gender equality and violence against women prevention work, and keen to learn and contribute to the work of Zero Tolerance. The post-holder will undertake a variety of tasks to support the Director.
