The ideal candidate will have:

  • An understanding of the needs of families with young children
  • Experience of supporting families
  • Demonstrate good communication
  • The ability to provide regular written and verbal reports
  • A driving licence and use of a car

Manager

We are looking to recruit a permanent Manager of Home-Start Dunfermline to join our team.

Home-Start Dunfermline works with families who have young children and are experiencing challenging times. We provide support within the family home through trained volunteers with the aim of helping families to achieve lasting change that will improve the early life environment for their children. Experience of working with children and families is essential.

You will be responsible for ensuring that our services are delivered to high standards, providing leadership and management to a team of staff and volunteers and for the day to day management of the scheme.

You will also be responsible for securing funding and maintaining relationships with funders. The role is responsible for building partnerships and supporting the board in developing and delivering the organisation’s strategy

The role requires sensitivity and excellent communication skills. Use of your own car (expenses paid) is necessary. An enhanced disclosure check will be required. You should understand and be committed to the role of the voluntary sector and be able to work on your own initiative and in a challenging environment.
