The post-holder will play a key role in ensuring the management, development and smooth operation of Barrowfield Community Centre, MUGA and play park. We are looking for a new Older People’s Coordinator who shares our values and will use them to guide the way they work on a daily basis. You will be accountable to our Support Services Officer.
You will proactively assist in supporting, promoting, developing and delivering a wide range of Older People’s Services within the communities in which West of Scotland Housing Association operate. Assist in accessing grant funding and generated income streams, directly work with tenants and communities to develop and implement projects and liaise with partner organisations
You should:
• Have excellent interpersonal and engagement skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Have the ability to write reports, collate statistics and implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework
• Be able to develop and maintain effective monitoring and evaluation frameworks to meet project reporting needs within agreed timescales

Funded by The National Lottery Community Fund we are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Community Worker to support our Thriving Places project. The postholder will proactively promote and help deliver meaningful community engagement activities within the Parkhead, Dalmarnock localities
You should:
• Have experience of working with local people and community groups in a collaborative way
• Be committed to supporting volunteers and developing volunteering opportunities
• Have experience in delivering successful community engagement activities and events
• Be committed to removing barriers to engagement
We are looking for a new Community Services Officer who shares our values and will use them to guide the way they work on a daily basis. You will be accountable to our Community & Support Services Manager.
You should:
• Have a proven track record of delivering high quality projects and services in line with organisational business plans on time and within budget
• Have experience of managing and developing staff teams to their full potential
• Be able to evidence partnership working and demonstrate experience of supporting capacity building at both a strategic and operational level

About the Role
Our Money Advice Worker must be an experienced advisor who is highly motivated with a detailed knowledge of debt solutions and financial capability, providing a generic money management and budgeting advice to West of Scotland Housing Association tenants.
It is essential that applicants are proactive in engaging and communicating effectively with customers and focus on early intervention to prevent serious financial difficulties.
You should:
• Have extensive experience gained in a similar role and be experienced in managing a high-volume caseload
• Have strong customer care skills
• Be skilled in IT and case management systems
• Be methodical and flexible in approach to organising and prioritising your workload
• Be able to build trusted relationships with customers, team colleagues and internal departments and be happy to support other services within the team
• Have full driving licence

About the Role
Funded by the Glasgow Communities Fund, you will manage and run the Barrowfield Community Centre, MUGA and play area, ensuring its smooth operation and that our community facility forms a vibrant, well managed hub for the benefit of local people, anchor tenants, those booking community spaces and other centre users. .
The centre is open during the day 7 days per week and is able to accommodate evening bookings 3 nights during the week until 8pm. With the support of the wider Community and Support Services Team, you will manage a small team of Community Centre Assistants, ensuring the sustainability of the Community Centre by maximise income through bookings and effective usage of its facilities. Some weekend/evening work on a rota basis is required.
You should:
• Have excellent experience of operational management within a similar busy community setting
• Have strong customer services skills and staff management experience
• Be able to build rapport with all hub users and create a safe and welcoming facilities
• Be methodical and flexible approach to organising and prioritising a varied workload

Willowacre Trust plays a fundamental role in the delivery of specialist support and wider community services including the operational management of the Barrowfield Community Centre.
You will provide day to day janitorial and set up duties within our Community Centre, l ensuring that the Centre is prepared and operational for all activities. This will include all daily/weekly checks/tasks, such as fire safety, health & safety, cleaning, security and maintenance within the Centre and its immediate grounds. Working alongside our tenants and Centre user, will require excellent customer service skills.
You will also have a good working knowledge of health and safety, with good literacy and numeracy skills to maintain records and be flexible, adaptable, and able to work evenings and weekends.
In return we offer a friendly, inclusive environment and a good remuneration package with 37 days holiday. Hours will be 35 per week, covering 5 days over 7 inclusive of evenings and weekends. The post is a fixed term contract until 31 March 2023 due to external funding

Supporting our older tenants to sustain their tenancies within our sheltered housing, you will have previous experience of working with older people, preferably within a housing setting. Responsible for signposting tenants to appropriate specialist support, undertaking health and safety checks for communal areas and assisting with social support activities. You will offer support with kindness and compassion and engage with a diverse range of older people. Establishing friendly relations with tenants and encourage them to participate in decisions which affect their lives.
