* Because of the wide remit of this role, it involves considerable travel around Scotland and you will expected to spend at least part of each week in Edinburgh.

Working closely with the Director and Senior Management Team (SMT), take a lead in forging strong working relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring the Foundation’s funding priorities are closely aligned with the strategic priorities of NHS Lothian.
To be responsible for the effective development and delivery of the Foundation’s Grant making Strategy and the management, development and evaluation of the portfolio of funding programmes.
Oversee the effective management and control of Specific Funds in close liaison with the finance and fundraising teams, and NHS Lothian’s senior management and clinical leadership.
Develop and direct an appropriately skilled staff resource and provide support and effective management of the funding and grants team to deliver funding objectives and impact measurement and reporting.
· Educated to degree standard or equivalent professional experience.
· MBA or other relevant professional qualification or equivalent levels of experience.
· Senior level experience required in the following areas: project management / delivery, grants management and administration, developing and implementing effective grant programmes or projects, report writing, impact evaluation.
· Experience of and confident in using / managing online grant application and project management software.
· Experience of working in a charity specifically within a healthcare or medical research setting.
· Experience of effectively communicating clinical or scientific information to a lay audience.
· Experience of recruiting and managing staff teams and working with contracted staff and agencies.
· Strong leadership and management skills, able to negotiate, collaborate and work constructively across organisational boundaries.

The WHALE Arts Community Garden Coordinator will be responsible for the running and maintenance of the garden working independently, and along with the Garden Volunteers and the Enterprise and Facilities Manager. The WHALE Arts garden provides an enjoyable and sustainable greenspace for our local Wester Hailes community. You will be maintaining the grounds that hold a variety of plants, vegetables, fruit, herbs, benches and a fire pit.
Working closely with your manager you will help develop and follow a maintenance plan for the WHALE Arts garden that supports our organisation values, be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the garden and help ensure health and safety is followed on the gardening grounds.

Living Rent is looking for two community organisers to join our organisation in Glasgow and Edinburgh and fight for social and economic change. You will work closely with Living Rent’s members in Glasgow and Edinburgh, joining a growing team of Living Rent organisers in Scotland.
About the job: Your job is to build tenant power in order to challenge landlords collectively, not only bringing victories to members but also building a system that puts people before profit. The role will entail organising outreach events (door-knocking in blocks of flats, street stalls, community meetings), recruiting members, supporting the creation of neighbourhood organising teams, supporting members to organise direct actions and organising local events. This role aims to get more people involved in Living Rent at the local and national level, in order to build tenants’ power in Scotland. This job will first take place through online outreach, before switching back, when appropriate, to neighbourhood-based work.
We are looking for someone keen to work with a young organisation and passionate about member-run and diverse organisations and determined to build working-class power. Experience in recruitment, training delivery, community education or campaigns is welcome; however enthusiasm, willingness to learn and commitment to social justice are more important than previous experience as training will be provided. This role may suit someone with experience in sales, street fundraising or other customer facing work, and wishes to move into organising. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, dedicated to building tenants’ power, and keen to build Living Rent’s potential.
