We are looking for a full-time Team Leader to join our dynamic team in Edinburgh.
In this position, you will lead a team of Project Workers as they provide support and opportunity to the adults who attend Upmo.
On a day-to-day basis, Team Leaders supervise and coordinate activities on site, provided support to staff, ensure onsite operations are in line with policy and procedure and assist Team Managers with case and site management. We are looking for a confident communicator with excellent leadership skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
This Team Leader position is primarily based in our service in Edinburgh, where we offer workshop activities to adults with learning disabilities and autism from Links House in Leith, and St. Margaret's House at Meadowbank.
The starting salary for this position is £24,100.
No formal qualification is necessary, but experience of working in social care is preferred.

The Service
Our Edinburgh Mental Health Services is made up of five teams of support workers who provide visiting tenancy support across Edinburgh to people experiencing mental ill health. The service also has a Core and Cluster accommodation service which provides more intensive support to people who have spent time in long-term hospital care. Our support enables the people we work with to live as independently as possible in their own home and improve their mental and physical health.
The Job
We have an exciting opportunity for ambitious and motivated Support Workers to join our team and improve the lives of people supported by our Edinburgh Mental Health Services.
In this role, you will be supported to work using a person centred and trauma informed approach and develop effective relationships with people affected by a range of mental health problems, supporting them to cope in difficult times and working towards recovery and a good life. You will provide emotional, practical and social support to enable people to live as independently as possible and make informed choices in all aspects of their lives.
This role involves the administration of medication to some of the individuals we support. Full training will be provided for this.

We are recruiting for an individual who will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and administrative support to a range of partners including Shine Mentors, the National Partnership Manager and external stakeholders. Context:
Elpis Trust delivers a person centred housing support service to 18 young women who are experiencing homelessness or are care leavers aged between 16-25 years. The supported accommodation is based in the Core service and satellite flats in the Ruchill and Maryhill area of Glasgow. Elpis provides a high quality support service which addresses young woman’ identified and assessed needs and reflects the aims of the service to work within relevant organisational and statutory policies, including health and safety, employment and equality laws. This includes adhering to Scottish Social Services Council codes of practice, National Care Standards and contractual requirements. Staffs work closely with the young women to write up support plans and deliver an individually tailored service, utilising Ladders to Success and GIRFEC, SHANARRI Outcomes.

Around since 1923, SAMH is Scotland’s national mental health charity. We have represented the voice of people most affected by mental health problems in Scotland for 100 years. About the Role
SAMH is delighted to be partnering with Aberdeenshire Council to expand our SAMH Time for Me programme to young people in schools and communities across Aberdeenshire. To achieve this we are seeking experienced practitioners to work full time, and during term-time with young people from Aberdeenshire high schools. Time for Me is a community based 8 session life skills course for young people aged 11 – 18 years experiencing low mood and/or anxiety. Based on the cognitive behavioural approach it provides young people with time and space to explore, discuss and understand their difficult feelings, thoughts and behaviours. It aims to reduce anxiety, improve wellbeing, increase confidence and resilience, and help young people to develop tools to manage life’s challenges.
The programme can be delivered individually within schools or community venues. We also hope to develop and trial a group work programme. The programme can be delivered both face to face and digitally. In addition to Time for Me, the Time for Me Practitioner will deliver a range of digital and face-to-face mental health and wellbeing workshops to parents and carers. These workshops aim to increase mental health awareness, whilst also tackling mental health stigma, and provide information and tools to enable people to support their own and others’ mental health and wellbeing.

We are looking for individuals with extensive experience of working with young people around their mental health and wellbeing. With exceptional communication skills and ability to manage own case load, you’ll need to be flexible to respond to the needs of the service and young people, ensuring your practice is of the highest quality at all times.
