You will be a socially confident and engaging person with a passion for designing and delivering memorable and participative training sessions. You will work collaboratively with Team Managers and the Casual and Volunteer Coordinator to identify and respond to training and development needs across the casual and volunteer workforce; and encourage and oversee open learning and online training as required.
You will be responsible for delivering ‘first day’ induction sessions in partnership with the Casual & Volunteer Coordinator; as well as facilitating evening and weekend training sessions as necessary to fit around the needs of our teams. A key part of the role is the organisation and delivery of weekly Practice Development sessions for our casual support workers, which will take place on a rotational basis across the 4 Action Group offices in Edinburgh, Haddington, Dalkeith and Livingston.
You will be committed to maintaining and updating your knowledge, skills and understanding of training delivery methods and best practice within the social care arena; and share The Action Groups values – especially regarding our commitment to confidentiality.
We are a Safer Recruiter, and so all positions are subject to satisfactory PVG (which we will pay for), health and reference checks.
