We are currently seeking to recruit a project worker to lead our ‘Young Advocates’ project in Scotland. ‘Young Advocates’ is an exciting project, delivered by The Fostering Network funded by Life Changes Trust and Young Start fund, delivered by The National Lottery Community Fund. The project aims to strengthen relationships, reduce stigma and increase awareness and understanding of care experience within the education sector in Scotland.
Our project worker will play a key role in co-ordinating the day to day activities of our ‘Young Advocates’ project. Working with young people, foster carers, educators and others across the sector you will need to be highly organised and have the ability to plan and deliver a programme of events and activities to support the project. We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and engagement skills, a creative, dynamic, participative approach and a real passion for challenging stigma and raising the aspirations of care experienced young people. Youth work skills are essential to this post.
