An exciting opportunity has arisen to play a leading role in an important new project working with veterans and their families in Scotland. Live Life is a partnership project with the specific purpose of Tackling Serious Stress in Veterans, Families and Carers. Initial two year funding has been provided by the Armed Forces Covenant Trust Fund and we hope this will be extended.
Cyrenians, NHS Lothian and Veterans’ organisations (Veterans First Point, Fares4Free, Rock2Recovery, Coming Home Centre, Horseback UK, Stand Easy Productions and Lothians Veterans Centre) have agreed to work together to deliver the Live Life project in Scotland. By using our collective expertise, in areas such as mental health, mediation, coaching, drama, horsemanship, conflict resolution, advice and employability, along with shared values, we aim to ensure that the objectives of Live Life are delivered to a high standard.
We are looking for an experienced individual with excellent interpersonal, negotiation and organisational skills, ideally someone with experience of being a veteran or the family member of a veteran. You should have a strong track record in building and managing relationships with multiple partners in order to deliver common aims. You will be a confident decision-maker and an innovative problem-solver; and also be able to demonstrate Cyrenians values of compassion, respect, integrity and innovation in the work that you do.
Closing date is 9am Monday 9th September 2019
Interviews will be held on Friday 13th September 2019
