Role

Scottish Borders Rape Crisis Centre (SBRCC) is looking to recruit a Support Worker – Young People to join our team. This is an exciting new project called Unity, funded by BBC Children in Need, to support the development of an independent young people’s support service. This service will be open to all young survivors of any gender/gender identity, aged 12-18, who have experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their lives. The Support Worker will provide one to one and group work support aimed at improving young survivor’s emotional well-being, confidence and their ability to cope with distress. A commitment to addressing violence against women and girls alongside experience of delivering one to one support is essential.

Only women need apply under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

The Successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced disclosure check.
