Children 1st take a restorative approach to the support needs of families and understand the impact of trauma on children, young people, parents and carers. We provide child and family friendly support to young people and their parents/carers, based on their individual needs and delivered through strong relationships, working with and alongside families.

Children 1st have had a service in Scottish Borders for over 40 years and are based in Selkirk. The service offers a range of supports to children, young people, parents, families and adults, with specific remits to support for individuals who have been impacted by domestic abuse, and to deliver region wide trauma recovery support for children and young people affected by abuse and/or abuse and trauma. The service also facilitates and enables the SurvivorsUnite group to support survivors of childhood sexual abuse

We are looking to recruit a committed and passionate Service Manager to lead the team and manage the range of services we currently offer and also contribute to the strategic development of the service. You will share our value base and bring strong management to the service staff team and volunteers and play an integral role in building further partnerships and raising awareness of Children 1st services in the Scottish Borders and nationally.
