Role

This is an exciting opportunity to carry out a leadership role, to support the Service Manager in the operational management and leadership of our Children 1st Services in West Lothian. This role will contribute to the achievement of positive outcomes for children, young people and families living across West Lothian.

The role will require the promotion of effective communication and involvement of children and families within assessment, care planning and decision making. The successful candidate will be required to work in close partnership with Social Work, Education and Health to lead in the development of the innovative trauma informed and restorative approaches to working with families.

The role will also involve supporting staff across the range of Services in West Lothian including Family Group Decision Making Service, Young People’s Service, Kinship Care Support and Supporting Families with Money Worries Service.

If you are an experienced professional with a Social Work, Community work or other appropriate qualification we want to hear from you.

This is a permanent, full time post of 35 hours per week. Hours to be worked flexibly to suit the needs of the service, evenings and weekends as required.
