Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our established Children1st Service in West Lothian. As part of our Family Group Decision Making Team you will be involved in empowering families to be able to create plans that support children at risk of accommodation.

Family group conferencing draws on the strengths of the wider family and friends in deciding how best to care for a child, giving families the opportunity to participate in the decision-making processes and find their own solutions to difficulties.

We are looking from someone with the experience and skills to get alongside families and their children at really difficult times to support them in the positive creation of safe plans. If you are an experienced Family Group Conference worker, or have a range of experiences of working collaboratively with families, as part of a team and alongside a range of professionals, with a sound understanding of child protection.

You should be an experienced professional with a Social Work, Community work or other appropriate qualification we want to hear from you.

This is a fixed term, full time post of 35 hours per week until 31 March 2020. Hours to be worked flexibly to suit the needs of the service, evenings and weekends as required.
