Experienced Male Support Worker required (must be a car driver). Guaranteed payment for a minimum 16 hours per week, £10.10 per hour, sleepover rate £69 per night, includes weekend work.
This role involves sleepovers and day shifts. Typical evening shift is 6pm to 9am one night per week. Sleepover allowance is £69 between 11pm and 7am. Typical dayshifts are 9am to 6pm.
Funded via a direct payment and employed directly by the client’s guardians.
We are looking for an experienced male worker (Section 7 (1) (a) and (2) (b) of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 apply) to provide flexible support to a young man aged 26 who has a lot of autism.
The ideal candidate will have excellent values relating to the inclusion of people with disabilities and an enthusiastic and ‘can do’ approach.
We are looking for an active person to support a fit and energetic young man. You will like the outdoors, visiting community leisure activities and thinking up and trialling new day trips and opportunities. A car driver who knows his way around the West of Scotland and a mature and confident attitude is needed to join our small staff team of four. The worker will require some flexibility to cover colleague’s holidays and occasional sickness cover. For instance, hours will increase to 40 per week during the month of February 2019 to cover planned holidays.
Living in or within easy travelling distance to Scotstoun would be an advantage. Statutory sick pay and 28 days holiday pay per annum pro rata (based on 35 hour week).
