Role

Seamab is a children’s charity, providing care and education to some of Scotland’s most vulnerable children. Our vision is that every child will ‘be their best’ and our work is to provide relationships and experiences that help make this happen. We have developed our own philosophy of learning and caring that supports delivery of our services.

We are now seeking to recruit a Team Manager to join our established care management team. You will be responsible for the day-today running of the service and a team that includes an Assistant Team Manager and Care Workers. You will lead development and delivery of a child centred service for five children. This will include assessment, planning, supervision of staff and partnership work with local authorities. You will also be expected to work as part of the wider organisation, contributing to development and improvement.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative national charity. You will have skills and experience in leading teams and delivering high quality services for children. A relevant qualification is required and you must be highly skilled in working with others, an excellent communicator and have knowledge of the impact of trauma on children. At Seamab, we use Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP) as our therapeutic framework. You will be expected to complete training in this approach and lead practice development in your team.

This post is subject to membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme in relation to regulated work with children.
