For Forty Years Barnardo's Caern Project have been delivering a variety of quality services for young people with disabilities and/or autism.
We will shortly be opening a new community house in Midlothian where we will provide full-time residential care for a number of young people with learning disabilities and/or autism.
Using a person centred approach we aspire to create an environment in which the young people are happy, nurtured and safe.
We aim to enhance the young people's lives by supporting them to develop their independence in both the domestic environment and the community.
For this undertaking we are looking to recruit a team of Residential Project Worker 2's for both day and night working.
Ideally you will have experience within a social care setting and possess qualifications for registration with the SSSC as a Residential Child Care Worker.
The full-time posts are 37 hours a week. Shifts will be allocated on a rota. It is anticipated that these hours (at either day or night) will be worked over three days each week including weekends.
We would also encourage applicants that are interested in part-time contracts of 12 or 24 hrs. Please state on your application form the hours that you would prefer.
These posts are subject to an enhanced check through Disclosure Scotland - PVG Scheme.
