This is a unique opportunity for the right person to make a difference within a well-regarded social care charity that provides highly individualised support to people who have a learning disability, mental health needs or both. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need for people to have choice outside of institutional care, in their own homes. We anticipate growing demand for our model of support and require an entrepreneurial-minded person to join our team.
We base our work on human rights principles, including self-determination. We operate a unique system of Individual Service Funds (ISFs), which requires accurate financial information to be accessible to the individual and those closest to them, to assist informed decision-making. This requires a high level of attention to detail. You will have a strong understanding of, or be keen to learn how ISF’s operate and can be improved to support very bespoke support to individuals.
The successful candidate will combine demonstrable business acumen with experience of delivering innovative ICT solutions. We require a professional who can help people across the organisation in different capacities navigate through a complex and ever changing ICT world. You will have a proven track record in providing sound financial advice and exception and scheduled reporting.
As an Executive Director reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Trustees, you will play a pivotal role in the development of strategy and governance for the organisation.
This can be a challenging role. To be successful you will need to be astute, insightful, and able to operate at operational and strategic levels with a high level of integrity and openness. You will be flexible and approachable and able to take on any task within the finance team.
If this sounds like you and you share our belief in the positive capacity of all people regardless of ability or disability to shape their own lives, then we would love to hear from you.
