Glasgow NE’s board is looking for two new trustees to work alongside the existing team to bring our board up to full capacity. We currently have a Chair, Secretary and Treasurer with the other 4 places taken by trustees. There are 2 members of staff and over 50 volunteers who operate across our 6 Centers over the Glasgow North East.
We are specifically looking for people who have an interest in operational management, events management, HR, policy setting or with a financial background to help us develop as a team and prepare to accommodate the increasing demand on our foodbank services.
Our board consists of representatives from community organisations such as the local church, housing associations, football club and local charities however we would welcome applications from other unrelated sectors who could help us diversify and add to our skillset.
Our board's responsibility is the governance and overseeing the management of the foodbank and there are also opportunities to become involved in a more hands-on capacity.
Working with the Glasgow NE Foodbank can be very rewarding with opportunities to meaningfully engage with local charities, corporate organisations and become involved in the provision a life changing service to people who are in need of assistance.
