Celtic FC Foundation is currently looking to recruit a part time Major Donors Manager. Supporting existing
organisational revenue streams and reporting to the Head of Income, the role is responsible for income
generation from a range of key areas. This is a part time role on a job share basis and requires a flexible
approach to working hours, with evening and weekend working required from time to time.
Key accountabilities will include:
Identify new business opportunities, working as part of an established Income generation team;
Manage, develop and grow the regular giving ‘Founders Club’ initiative through recruiting new members and nurturing
existing relationships;
Identify project investment and other opportunities for major donors and deliver successful and engaging pitches to
secure new and repeat investment;
Develop and nurture these new and existing relationships;
Expand and develop our Legacy Giving funding stream and secure further commitments;
Define appropriate contacts and secure support in respect of ‘charity of the year’;
In consultation with the Head of Income, secure support from major donors for the annual Christmas Appeal;
Record, monitor and report on all major donors revenue and expenditure streams;
Provide copy-writing for PR/Editorial and details for social media outlets, as and when requested by the Line
Manager; and
Represent Celtic FC Foundation at events and fundraising opportunities as required by Line Manager.
Skills and Experience required:
Applicants should have at least five years’ demonstrable experience of working in a sales/business development
background in commerce or a third sector environment, with at least two of those years at a management
level.
The successful candidate will be well-networked and have proven experience with major donors/HNWs/corporate
organisations. They will have demonstrable experience of selling, influencing and managing negotiations at a
senior level and will possess excellent interpersonal, organisational and written skills. Applicants should have
a sound knowledge of the football club and its history and charitable roots. A full driving licence is required
for the role.
