An exciting opportunity has arisen at Govanhill Baths Community Trust (GBCT) for an experienced, motivated and passionate Technician to join our Rags to Riches new upcycling UpHub project.

We are seeking a highly skilled, adaptable and self-motivated Technician/Machinist to provide a full time technical and creative support within the Rags to Riches new upcycling UpHub project. The successful applicant should have substantial experience of managing and organising a woodworking space as well as experience in operating conventional wood working machines and laser cutter along with laser software.

You will have experience in demonstrating the use of a variety of machines to community groups including laser cutter, and various other woodworking tools in an educational setting. Essential to the job is the use of plastic processing machines (processing and upcycling plastic) and the successful candidate will need to be solution driven with a broad understanding of a variety of crafts skills.

You will have an active input into the development and progression of the facility and support other R2R Uphup staff team with products manufacturing, tours, and educational visits as well as workshops membership scheme.
