Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Lead to join our dynamic Charity to do work of worth and value supporting children and families.

This role presents a unique opportunity to spearhead the development and execution of vital strategic projects, policies, and action plans aimed at integrating EDI principles into every aspect of our work at Children 1st. If you possess a proven track record in identifying EDI challenges, devising targeted solutions, and engaging with diverse individuals across all levels, this position is tailored for you.

As the EDI Lead, you will forge strong connections with external partners, internal task forces, and key stakeholders, crafting evidence-based strategies and interventions while overseeing their successful implementation. You will extend expert guidance and assistance to colleagues throughout Children 1st, ensuring alignment with pertinent EDI regulations and drawing inspiration from industry best practices, both within and beyond the non-profit sector, to drive impactful transformation.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of equality legislation and adeptness in EDI best practices. Essential competencies encompass the ability to operate effectively within a team and autonomously, convey intricate concepts to diverse audiences, and manifest unwavering dedication to the core values of Children 1st.

This a permanent, full-time role of 35 hours per week. You will be based in the central belt with an ability to travel to our spaces and bases when required.
