About the role
As Places and Projects Coordinator you’ll work closely with our Communities and Compliance teams to ensure our residential sites provide accessible, comfortable, home environments – inside and out – which live our values and meet all regulations and standards.
You’ll be involved in all aspects of building maintenance, including risk management, coordinating utilities and purchasing amenities. You’ll use your organisational and communication skills to liaise directly with contractors, landlords and service providers to improve our properties, and resolve any challenges that naturally arise at such diverse sites.
You’ll also find opportunities to help our wider teams achieve their property goals, such as finding new spaces or improving our existing places.
About you
You’ll be a natural organiser with a genuine interest in property who understands the difference a positive living environment can make. You’ll have an uncanny knack for problem-solving and thrive on creating and maintaining high standards, including around compliance, health and safety.
You’ll bring experience of working with third parties like landlords and suppliers, and achieving best value when doing so. You will be strong on compliance around your area of expertise.

Emotional Health and Wellbeing Lead – Scottish Centre for Conflict Resolution

What does ‘emotional health and wellbeing’ mean to you? What do you think it could mean for young people?
Over the last decade there has been a significant decline in the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people, with CAMHS recording an increase in referrals; in the first quarter of 2023, 10,500 children and young people were referred in Scotland. With a significant need to widen awareness of mental health and wellbeing within schools to support young people, SCCR’s Emotional Health and Wellbeing Lead plays a vital role within the team. You will be taking our work to young people, playing a role in reducing conflict situations that lead relationships to breakdown and mental health to suffer.
About the service
Cyrenians’ Scottish Centre for Conflict Resolution is a National Resource Centre for best practice in conflict resolution, mediation and early intervention work with a particular focus on young people and families. Our award-winning digital resources, free training and events improve understanding of conflict and emotional needs, to transform relationships and lives.
About the role
This role will ensure that the SCCR continues to evolve and extend its reach. You will:
- Engage with young people to review and develop our services, ensuring their voices are heard
- Deliver workshops and presentations, and contribute to our range of digital resources
- Maintain and develop working relationships with schools and other youth organisations
- Monitor and report on the progress of our work
About you
We are seeking a committed and self-motivated individual with experience in conflict resolution, research, psychology and creative practices. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to work under your own initiative, while also working in a team environment.
You should also be:

- Able to demonstrate our values of compassion, respect, integrity, and innovation in the work that you do.

Key Worker, Women in Safe Homes (WiSH)

If so, this new role working to provide homes for those most in need is for you.
About the role
Cyrenians WiSH project is an exciting new partnership with Resonance, a social investment organisation, which is purchasing homes for charity partners to provide to vulnerable women. Domestic Abuse is the biggest cause of women’s homelessness in Scotland and the fund is purchasing 30 homes for Cyrenians to provide to women and children who have had to leave an abusive household.
Working in a small team, you will provide relationship-based support to women who have become homeless due to fleeing domestic abuse. You will assist them to settle in to one of our safe, supported properties. You will work alongside them to manage risk and promote wellbeing while they transition into a new permanent home.
About You
You will be an experienced support worker, and passionate about helping vulnerable people into a better situation. You will be trauma-informed and committed to working with the team to ensure the highest standard of care and support.
Under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 only women are eligible to apply.

Senior Key Worker, Cyrenians City Community

The City Community is based in North Edinburgh, we offer accommodation and support to young people aged 16 to 30. The purpose of the community is to provide a safe and supported living environment for the young people to live, learn and develop together while they find out more about themselves and what their aspirations are for the future.
About the role
This role is a job share.
You’ll be:
• Providing direct line management to a small team of experienced staff
• Ensuring the referral, induction and moving in process of all new residents is effective and trauma-informed.
• Ensuring the support provided, and safeguarding processes are maintained to the highest standard.
• Providing direction, support and supervision to our team of peer volunteers.
• Overseeing all residents support reviews monitoring outcomes.
• Nurturing the culture of the community
About You
We are looking for a flexible, well organised and passionate individual who is aware of the challenges our young people may face. You will have experience of working with a similar client group, excellent communication skills, and a creative approach to problem solving. You will also have line management experience, and be motivated to work towards positive change.
You will be joining a staff team committed to the highest quality of care and support, and always striving to develop further. This means there will be great opportunities for you to both learn and develop, while sharing your skills and experiences.
