The Volunteer Coordinator at Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity plays a crucial role in supporting the charity’s mission of supporting children and their families receiving care at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow and all associated sites.

As the Volunteer Coordinator, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteers who provide valuable assistance and support to the hospital and its patients. You will also play a pivotal role in fostering positive relationships with volunteers, ensuring their engagement and satisfaction, and creating a collaborative and inclusive volunteer community.

You will work closely with various NHS departments as you recruit & coordinate the various roles across the sites we support. These roles include Play Maker Volunteers, Welcome Guides, Charity Hub & Medicinema.

You will also be looking after our volunteer driver programme which currently helps to support the following NHS Services – Milk Bank, Gastro, Cardiac, Respiratory.

Charity Hub Assistant

The charity aims to enhance hospital experiences for patients and families by providing enhanced equipment and support services that can help alleviate the worries of a hospital visit.

Our Community Fundraising Manager is responsible for developing and implementing community fundraising campaigns and events to grow the charity’s income, and build value added relationships with donors, fundraisers and volunteers.

You will lead the development of fundraising campaigns for the charity’s key community and event activities, including:

As a key member of the Partnerships & Business Development Team, the Events Manager will lead on the planning and delivery of the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity events portfolio. This includes our Annual Ball, Ladies Lunch and Sponsored Walk, along with other events throughout the year.

The successful candidate will have experience of leading on and delivering large-scale events within tightly controlled budgets, and will thrive in developing a varied event portfolio that will appeal to different supporters.

The Events Manager will also support families, groups and organisations to deliver their own events, ensuring they maximise their fundraising potential and benefit from the knowledge and expertise of our Events Manager.
