Role

Oban Youth Café is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Project Manager/Youth Worker to lead our small, well-established youth work project, working alongside our Senior Youth Worker, sessional youth workers, volunteers, cleaner and Management Committee.

Oban Youth Café provides youth work activities throughout the year, including youth clubs, holiday activities, camping trips, small group work sessions and one to one support for young people within the age range 10 -24 years old. Many of these activities are provided in partnership with other local agencies and organisations

Our youth workers use informal education methods to help young people gain confidence, develop protective factors, build resilience, meet friends, and have fun.

The youth café premises offers young people a place to come to and call their own, a place to hang out, meet friends, cook, play pool and over time build up relationships with our youth work staff.

We are looking for someone who is a team person and is happy to muck in and do everything needed to run our project, from camping to cleaning, from playing pool to planning holiday programmes, from paying bills to drawing up rotas and loads more.
