Based within our Consultancy Team, the role requires effective working with a diversity of Changeworks projects and external clients from across sectors. Our busy Consultancy team works across the sustainability agenda and has a particular specialism related to energy efficiency, heat decarbonisation and renewables in the built environment, fuel poverty and pro-environmental behaviour change.

The successful candidate will be able to draw on a range of experience that will allow them to manage a small team of two data analysts and a data consultant, and help them deliver data-informed projects using a variety of tools (e.g. R programming, GIS software). Working with the Senior Data Consultant and Data Consultant, you’ll be key to providing quality data analysis to support projects across the consultancy team. You’ll enjoy working in your close-knit team, as well as working on projects independently.

You’ll use your skills in data analysis and data presentation to collate, process, analysis, and model a variety of data from various sources. You could be working on variety of subjects from property analysis and energy use data, to low carbon heat and fuel poverty.

You’ll have experience presenting results, using data analysis visualisation in the form of maps and dashboards or online dynamic reports, so results are easily understood by non-specialists.

You will have excellent communication skills and a mature, responsible and client focussed attitude. An energy or advice providing background is desirable, as is experience of producing high quality written reports, working with disadvantaged people and knowledge of fuel poverty. This is a new role to develop, launch and scale a retrofit agency for Scotland to support homeowners to decarbonise their homes. This is a model that is tried and tested elsewhere but has not yet flourished in Scotland.

Homeowners face multiple barriers to improving the carbon footprint of their homes, this is where a retrofit agency comes in. Based on existing models a retrofit agency is a service that works with homeowners to enable them to improve the energy efficiency of their homes through providing tailored advice, support and services. There is substantial market need and stakeholder support to develop the model.

You will work closely with colleagues from across the organisation to leverage our experience, expertise and relationships to develop and evolve this model. You will take a lead role in engaging stakeholders, building support, securing income, leveraging our expertise to bring this concept into life.

We are now seeking to recruit a full time Affordable Warmth Advisor within the Affordable Warmth Team. We are looking for energetic and supportive individuals with a ‘can do’ attitude to deliver affordable warmth advice. This is a demanding but highly rewarding role, working with individuals who are experiencing fuel poverty.

The ideal candidate and the role

You will have excellent communication skills and a mature, responsible and client focussed attitude. An energy or advice providing background is desirable, as is experience of producing high quality written reports, working with disadvantaged people and knowledge of fuel poverty. A driving licence is highly desirable as achieving the objectives of the role requires the applicant to be able to travel across the Scotland with ease, including rural areas with no access to public transport.

The post of New Service Development Manager has been created to help Changeworks achieve its ambitious 2022 – 2025 Strategic Plan. Reporting to the Fuel Poverty and Low Carbon Operations Director, you will have a proven track record in the practical application of design thinking, having created successful user-centric services.
